This past summer, my teenagers and I joined Winged Walls World Wide: Chasing Angels and Butterflies Facebook group. Winged Walls is a community built for mural hunters, selfie lovers and street art enthusiasts. They have over 3200 murals on a Google map, so you can find them easily. The Facebook page looked fun! So, we decided it would be a great addition to do while exploring small towns. We had such a great time driving around looking for them that I just knew it needed to be apart of a whimsical meet-cute short story. When I wrote Creature Preacher, I imagined a beautiful lake with flowers and a cobble stone church. I took inspiration from my love of taking pictures of picturesque churches and my daughter’s love of taking pictures of flowers.
